Accord coupes are getting hard to find - Honda stopped building them after 2017, and the clean ones get bought quickly. This is a 2016 EX-L in San Marino Red, which is the color that actually suits the car. Two doors, a long hood, and a roofline that drops into the trunk the way a coupe is supposed to. It photographs well because the paint is genuinely straight, not because we found a good angle.

It's the 2.4-liter i-VTEC four-cylinder, which is the reason these cars run forever. It pulls cleanly, returns real highway mileage in the low thirties, and asks for nothing but oil changes. If you want something fun to drive that won't punish you at the pump or the repair shop, this is the combination people keep coming back for.

The EX-L trim is where the good equipment lives: heated leather seats, a power driver's seat, a moonroof, dual-zone climate, push-button start, and the touchscreen with Bluetooth and a backup camera. Honda's LaneWatch camera shows you the whole passenger blind spot on the screen when you signal right, which on a coupe with thick rear pillars is genuinely useful rather than a gimmick.

Mechanically it's sorted. It's wearing a matched set of Michelin Defender tires with plenty of tread left - not the cheapest thing that would pass inspection. The leather has no tears or cracking, the headliner is clean, and the all-weather floor liners kept the carpet underneath in good shape.
